"Our local (Langwarrin Hotel) has had 15 new machines put in and I see people gambling away, our organization said to turn a blind eye to the hotel as they donate money to us. The way I see it is they are causing the problem and we are seeing bashings of loved ones etc........this hotel has jumped up in the pokies with all the money they take from our people the worse things are getting.
The staff have been told to smile at the customers offer tea coffee etc to make them stay longer, the owner walks around with a big smile on his face, But then again you would wouldn't you, knowing that your making $60,000.00 a week profit, man this is the business to be in."
