Anti-gambling crusaders can go to extraordinary

lengths to attack clubs, as Paul Bendat a campaigner

against gaming in licensed venues has recently proven.

And I would say this just proves what lengths the pokies people will go to, just to show that gambling is good for you, It is not good for you or anyone else. We must keep up the fight. NO POKIES In VICTORIA.

Sorry, but I can see through that web site.

ClubsNSW views are contradictory. They cite research to make a claim about reduced problem gambling prevalence. On the PokieAct blog I cite 3 studies that refer to the concept of 'normalisation' as it relates to gambling.
Irregardless of the research, it would seem that ClubsNSW shake off the notion that the behaviour of parents influences the behaviour of children.
ClubsNSW also ignore the photograph of an oversize pokie jackpot displays towering over eating areas, a child bingo ad placed within a pokie area on the way to a family function room and 'family' eating areas surrounded by pokies.
ClubsNSW fail to mention club's special status that, unlike NSW pubs, permits children to be exposed to pokies and allows children to walk through pokie areas. Put simply the standard should be the same for NSW pubs and clubs.
While it is a red herring, the look of the ad was based upon a promotional document produced by ClubsNSW itsel that targeted the former treasurer of NSW.
