The main bar would be closing because there is no one in it, never have I worked at a venue where they have closed the bar early when it's busy. Why pay 1 bar person $20p/h to literally stand there bored to death and serve 5 people 1 drink each and watch them nurse it for the next 2 hours when you have a gaming room open and staffed till 5am? Most gaming rooms have a lounge type area where you can drink and watch the football or whatever and GASP not play the pokies. I can't believe the original poster is so anti-pokies but wants to be able to drink for longer? Alcohol is a FAR bigger problem in society in my opinion. How many gamblaholics have crashed their car and killed someone because they gambled too much? "
