" And before you ask, the OLGC knows. They argue the law re RTP in SA (as it is in all other states) is theoretical and as long as a game returns the minum over its lifetime and/or that all identical games on identical machines operating in the state together return the minimum, then any one machine in any one venue is considered to comply with the law. e.g. if one 1c dolphin treasure game with a set RTP of 91.75% in venue A returns just 70% and all other 1c dolphin treasure game with a set RTP of 91.75% operating in the other 400 venues across the state together return 95%, then the machine returning 70% is still legal. "WRONG IN VICTORIA!!! The Act of Legislation CLEARLY states that every machine MUST pay back a minimum of 87% RTP "Each Year". This is audited by the VCGR at least annually!!! If what you say happens in SA then it stinks and the people in SA are being ripped off... But as far as Victoria is concerned THEY ARE THE FACTS AND THE LAW!!! Do you find this valuable? |

Section 3.6.1 provides as follows:"A gaming operator or a venue operator who holds a gaming machine entitlement must ensure that the pay-out table on gaming machines at each venue is set so as to return to players the players' proportion of the total amounts wagered each year at that venue, after deduction of the sum of jackpot special prizes determined as prescribed and payable during that year." My reading of this section is that it applies to the venue and not the machines. The requirement with respect to machines relates to the "spin cycle". Do you find this valuable? |

"Section 3.6.1 provides as follows:For a venue to comply the machines must comply!!! If a venue has 40 machines with 20 of them paying 70% RTP then the other 20 would have to pay 104% for the venue to comply... That just doesn't happen... And what about the venues with only 5 machines? They have to abide by the law. That is why all machines in Victoria will pay out at least 87% over a 12 month period... It's laws of probability... Despite the AFL clubs being keen to trumpet any win, they are very quiet on the winnings they are ripping off their members, let alone from the pokie palaces they've invested in.Then there is the AFL & its social conscience in the form of CEO Andrew Demetriou ... pokies one social issue Andrew steers clear of, its clearly not alcohol or drugs.
