Location of Talkers

"'Cannot Win' talker signsAll except 1 sign were placed on the top box so as not to be visible when looking into the video play face." A reason why the talkers may be placed on the top box is that for them to be located next to the reels means they would have to be stuck on the side of the machine doors. The machine doors get opened at least once a day, mostly more. As the machines are fairly close together, opening and closing the doors many times a day would damage the talkers or they would just fall off. Just an idea. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

That's possible but unlikely.Go to the Melbourne casino where they are all opposite the animated reels. Even better, have a look at Woolies Brisbane pubs where they are allowed to place promotional signs on the pokies. Where are they usually? Right opposite the animated reels. While is pure speculation, it my view that they want to minimise the control your gambling message being seen. What is even more amazing is that unlike the billboards we saw everywhere with the same messages; these talkers don't have the Gambler's helpline number on them. I blogged on this at http://blog.pokieact.org/2008/10/victoria-subtlely-sustains-addictive.html 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"That's possible but unlikely. The talkers dont have the gamblers helpline on them because each machine has a sticker with the phone number on it, on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Do you find this valuable? |

It seems that you are saying that too much a good thing should not be allowed. The helpline number should be next to the message, not some other place. Do you find this valuable? |
