Description of Talker signs on the pokies
One talker described a promotion called "Lucky Machine". Play Friday 1:30 - 2:30 Ask staff for details. See picture.
Consideration of this advertisement, placed on a pokie itself should be given in the light of Practice 6.5 of the Queensland Responsible Gambling Advertising & Promotions Guideline wherein it provides:
"Luck should not be used in advertising or promotion in a manner that implies winning is a probable or likely outcome."
It seems that the rules of Lucky Machine do not offend these guidelines while it could be argued that the advertisement of itself might. Asked cashier attendant to explain "Lucky Machine". Every machine had a number and all numbers go into a draw. Every 15 minutes during the nominated period there's a draw and a cash prize. If its not won then the prize is rolled over to the end of the hour. Gamblers must be setaed at a pokie and have credits on that pokie.

There were also talkers for Roll The Dice and Black Jack with time for play listed for a total of 10 talkers for Tom's promotions. Other talkers were 1 x Kids eat Free, 6 x Beer, and 4 x food at the venue.

Posters in Pokie Room that promote non-gambling activities available in the venue
Large plaque titled "Tom's Promotions" with events for each day.

General Comments.
KENO terminal is the cashier for the pokie area. Located on a section of the bar that extends across the very large eating area.
