General Comments

Gaming lounge called "Players Edge". Does this imply that gamblers have some advantage? Bistro called "Family Bistro". The website promotes the hotel as "The Premier Family Entertainment Complex". Monday and Tuesday are promoted as "Lucky Machine Draw" between 5 and 6 PM where gamblers can win a meal voucher.
Shrek 3 live show coming on 27 March for 2 shows.

22 June 2008 Inspection Notes:

'Cannot Win' talker signs
No signs were placed opposite the animated reel. All signs were placed so that their bottom edge was at the credit line or above. The sign on pokie #10 had fallen down. The signs on pokies # 99 -103 were placed to the rear of the pokie. Signs on the following pokies were placed on the top box and not on the pokie itself; 6, 8, 9, 15, 17, 19, 22, 33-40, 42, 61, and 90-92.

The events promoted are Lucky Machine Draw, Bingo / Lucky Machine and Party Night with jackpot draws. These are all events which promote more gambling. There was a non-lit posters promoting Salsa Night. 10 lit posters in total. 1 lit poster is the Tattersall's Set A Limit poster.

General Comments
There was a small card promoting Flanagan's in the 'rest area' and on the mantle. A card was collected. In the inner foyer area common to the bistro and the pokies room was a poster for Guitar Hero.

13 March 2009 Inspection Notes:

20 signs were placed on the top box. Pokie #24 had no sign. The bottom edge of 2 signs intersected with the animated reels. The bottom edge of the remainder of the signs were set at the credit line.

The play area is in a corner of the bistro. It has a glass wall. Because there is limited visibility of children in the play area; children are 'supervised' by means of 2 x video monitors in the eating area. Toy Soldier and Chocolate Factory coin operated games are installed in the play area. During inspection observed about 6 very small children playing. No parents were in the actual area. The camera angle is from near the ceiling. Children inside the play equipment are not visible.

Non-gaming posters in pokies room
11 posters were all gambling orientated. Poster suggested bringing a voucher or becoming a member. Table talkers were for KENO or alcohol.

Rudd is full of wind he states he hates the POKIES but looking at the manager of this hotel, he,s been well trained in a Safeway
Store. Rudd even gave these places a $900 stimulus, God when is someone going to do some thing.
