General Comments

Two Car/Child waring signs in main car park. Sign pictured on tree faces Corrigan Road car park. No brightly painted signs for hotel on other side of Corrigan Road.
Roulette games shows: previous winning numbers, hot numbers, cold numbers, red v. black and odd v. evens. Does this imply that the longer one plays certain combinations, the odds of winning might increase?

21 June 2008 Inspection Notes:

'Cannot Win' talker signs
Pokies 13, 35, 56, 66 and 81 were missing signs. Sign on pokie 9 was on top box.

In addition to the ATM located in main entrance there is another ATM in the TAB which is also not visible.

Seven although 4 are placed above the glass wall to the car park and are close to the ceiling. Compare practices of Ace Sporting Club (associated with Safeway / Woolworths) which had placed signs at eye level on their glass wall.

Observed a totally digital sign. All screens promoted pokie playing.
Poster for Bonanza Voucher Wednesdays.Next to cashier was a lit sign promoting a Rock and Roll night on 26 July.
Also a Morning Melodies poster.

Morning melodies, Andrew Hosking (in corner), Tatt's Pokies - More Jackpots in entrance, Set A Limit, 2 x Texas Hold 'Em, 2 x Membership, 2 x Member's Wednesday promoting register at 7PM and win at 9:30, Showcase, Functions.

Gambler's Help notice/cards in toilet

2 x Posters plus cards. Nothing in dining area toilet.

General Comments
Staff walk around putting chairs in place and collecting glasses.
Lost $17 in one hour betting 5¢ per button push on one line only. Noted that here was a sound whenever a Southern Cross symbol appeared 1st, 2nd or 3rd indicating that free spin round was possible.
I could not get tracking to work. I asked attendant at cashier what I did wrong. She stated that I had to ask staff first when I wanted to track.
Remained at this venue for over an hour. No PA announcements made encouraging breaks.
