General Comments.
Located in high unemployment area which is also known to be in the heart of SA's single teen parent belt....the lowest or 2nd lowest socioeconomic area in SA. Gaming room is VERY dimly lit...ceiling is quite low and painted a dark colour...the TAB/sports bar is brightly lit with higher ceiling that is painted cream......no smoking notice is now 12 months out of date (sign in dining room entrance indicates the "venue is now 50% smoke free").....5 high chairs lined up on one wall of dining room.....clearly visible to people entering the gaming room from the street.
In January 2008, thieves who stole cold tea from the Playford Tavern in the apparent belief it was alcohol have had their bumbling actions captured on security vision.

In October 2007, a woman had her handbag stolen while playing poker machines at the Playford Tavern about 9pm.
