Pokies #60 and #53 had no signs. Except for pokie #32 all signs were placed on the top box so as not to be visible when looking into the video play face.

Visibility of ATM from Gaming Room
There are two ATMs.One is in the entrance area. A glass screen has been erected around this ATM although one can easily discern that there is an ATM behind the glass. This ATM is visible from pokies 79-82 and 63-65.The other ATM is in the bistro area and close to the entrance to the TAB room. There is no visual shield around this ATM. It is visible from the whole of the gaming bar area.

Despite posting of other notices, Tabaret, ALH mission statement and David Schwarz poster, there was no visibly posted offer of self exclusion facility. There was a business card holder on the bar for Marshall Motors and Body Works / Melton taxi service.

Visibility from Bistro Area
There is a shared front entrance. The back of the bistro has an open entrance (no doorway) to the gaming area. While the restaurant seating is somewhat buffered by an open lounge space, the pokie noises would be audible.

Kid's Play Area
Yes. From kid's area doorway, the gaming room lights would be visible through the bistro and hotel entranceway as all walls are glass; particularly, when automated doors to the gaming room open.

Do not leave children in vehicle signs/notices

None were observed in the back car park. One sign was erected on a pole. There was a sign on the front door.

General Comments
Clock behind the cashier.
Large posters for "Mac's Melton Fantastic Member's Rewards". There was another like poster in the bistro area.

29 October 2008 Inspection Notes:

Regulation 17 player information talker signs
Improvement. Signs on pokies # 18, 74 and 80 were placed on the Top Box. 9 signs were placed against the animated reels. The balence were placed so that the bottom of the signs were in line with the credit line.

Visibility of ATM from Gaming Room
Yes. ATM in the back, located in bistro, can be seen in the pokies room. The lit sign attached to the ATM in the front entrance is visible over the opaque glass screen. As before.
No fixed sign on the ATM. Gambler's Help cards in a holder.
