13 signs were placed on the top box impeding visibility to the gambler. Remainder were placed randomly on the pokie.

Visible posting of availability of Self-Exclusion facility
None.

Number of Player Information Posters
3.

Eating in Gaming Area

No.

Coffee / Tea service in Gaming Area

Yes but located in bistro bar area.

External Clock on Walls
Yes.

Kids Area
No.

Visibility from Bistro/Bar Area

The pokie area and the bistro/bar are in one room. There is a partition with clear glass upper portion that allows for the pokies to be visible throughout this area. Did not inspect upper floor. This lower area had plenty of people in it. Although there appeared to be a committee room off the entrance, the bistro/bar had the traditional wooden plaques hung on the walls implying that this was the principal gathering area for the golf players before and after a round.

Do not leave children in vehicle signs/notices

Yes.

Promotional Posters in Gaming Room

5 x posters all promoting gambling.

Gambler's Help notice/cards in toilet

Yes. Did not enter player's locker room toilet.

General Comments
No ATM observed.
A sign prohibiting minors was posted in the main entrance to the club. In this entrance there is a large opening with a sign "Gaming Lounge" above it. This is the entrance to the bistro/bar and the partitioned off gaming area. There are further signs prohibiting entry to minors placed on the partition to the gaming area. When entering from the pro shop there is no signs prohibiting minors.
There is an urban subdivision across the road. It seems that part of the course itself is being sub divided fro residences. Signs on Midland Highway indicating that 4 blocks remain.
Information has been provided by Mr. Roger Permezel, the general manager of this venue regarding the future of the pokies at this venue. It is intended that all pokie licenses applicable to this venue are to be transferred to the Ballarat RSL. As a result of this transfer, 6 pokies licensed in the City of Ballarat will cease. This is subject to an application to the VCGR. Click here to read the notification of this application. Click here to read the decision.
