General Comments.
This venue was inspected only briefly because of external advertising to entice children into the venue. The purpose was to see what steps they took to responsibly manage the presence of children in the venue.

Pokie sounds and vision into bistro area.
Although there is a stained glass partition between the lounge and the pokies room, it is translucent and there are wide open entrances allowing sound and vision to the lounge area. All dining room patrons pass through this area. The dining room has clear glass windows looking into the lounge area. The blinds in these windows were turned sideways to allow vision including the lights from the pokies room.
The pokies area is part of a large room which includes the hotel reception, lounge, bar and TAB areas.

Kid's Play Area and promotion
2 x playstation set up. Coin operated table video game. Both placed right next to the pokie area. All sounds heard. Observed 2 children playing these machines. No parent supervision signs at this play area.

Posters in Pokie Room that promote non-gambling activities available in the venue
14 A4 size red posters for Club Win in the pokie room. Three different prizes plus a machine where tickets come out and drop in a barrel. Also two Club Win promotions as gamblers enter the venue.

General Comments.
Removed Kids Eat Free sign on exterior of the venue as pictured above. Black board menu at dining room entrance did not promote Kids Eat Free. There was a display on the Club Win terminal in the pokie room entrance for Kids Eat Free.
Brightly coloured Club Win terminal in entrance to pokies area.
Club Win promotions can be compared with Max E Tag presence at Feathers Hotel which is part of the Matthews group according to the web site.
10 x KENO displays on tables in lounge. Almost every table. Did not tally bar area.
