This is not the case with other venues owned by football clubs noted in PokieWatch.org. It may be that this statement is providing a distorted view of the benefit of this venue to the community.
This facility is part of a miniature golf course and a driving range. Upon entry there are signs stating that it is a part of the Melbourne Storm social club. This body is not disclosed in the VCGR associated parties web page. John Ribot, chief executive of the Storm is mentioned. The wiki for the Melbourne Storm indicates that the club is 100% owned by News Limited. There does not appear to be any disclosure of News Limited association.
